Prometheus® disposable centrifugal filter devices provide fast ultrafiltration and easy concentrate recovery from dilute and complex sample matrices. They allow concentration and purification of biological samples and are ideal for protein purification, protein concentration, and desalting. The vertical design and available membrane surface area provide fast sample processing and high sample recovery (typically >80%). A physical dead-stop in the filter device prevents spinning to dryness and potential sample loss. The concentrate is collected from the filter device sample reservoir using a pipettor, while the ultrafiltrate is collected in the provided centrifuge tube. The devices are supplied non-sterile and are for single use only.

The PES membrane is not compatible with the following in equal to or greater than concentration: Acetic Acid (25%), Acetonitrile (30%), Aliphatc & aromatc esters, Amines, Ammonium hydroxide (5%), Aromatc & chlorinated hydrocarbons, Butyl acetate (40%), Dimethyl acetamide (DMAC) (30%), Ethers, Hydrochloric acid (0.5 N at 50°C), Isopropyl Alcohol (25%), Ketone, Methylene chloride (1%), Methyl ethyl ketone (1%), Phosphoric acid (1 N), Sodium deoxycholate (5%), Sodium hydroxide (0.5 N at 50°C), Sodium hypochlorite (0.04%), Tetrahydrofuran (5%), Toluene (1%)
