TwinCool Ultra Low Freezers provide the highest level of protection for valuable samples. Designed with two independent refrigeration systems, each compressor maintains a temperature of -80°C. In the event of a compressor failure, the other compressor can maintain the temperature of the freezer. The auto cascade technology allows fast and efficient cabinet pulldown, taking an average of three hours to reach -80°C from ambient temperatures. With the hydrocarbon refrigeration technology, 50% less energy is used compared to the traditional CFC refrigerants found in standard freezers. The refrigerants do not contain fluorine or chlorine giving it a GWP value of just three, which is better for the environment. These units are applicable to many storage requirements found within blood storage facilities, hospitals, disease control, scientific research institutions, and biomedical engineering institutions.
