SOY PEPTONE YEAST EXTRACT AGAR Soy Peptone Yeast Extract Agar is used for the cultivation of Dermatophyte and other pathogenic fungi from clinical specimens. Enzymatic Digest of Soybean and Yeast Extract provide nitrogenous sources, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Dextrose is the main fermentable carbohydrate. Chloramphenicol and Streptomycin suppress bacterial growth. Agar is the gelifying agent. Optimal growth temperature ranges between 25 and 30 ºC. Product Information Sheet
