“The qtower3 Touch is a robust equipment, in addition to having a gold-plated silver block (96-well), it has a 10 year warranty Zeiss optical system, which uses a PMT detector (= rotorgene qiagen detector), 4 RGBW LEDs that allows cover of the entire spectrum, 6 non-fixed emission filters that allow the user to choose and change them at any time, and 6 optical fibers that allow the reading of a column simultaneously. The intuitive character of it’s software allows anyone to program it in a simple and practical way. In terms of the run itself, there is no preheating time, the pre-established time at the beginning of the PCR reaction is the final, and due to it’s ramp rates it is one of the fastest RT-PCRs in the market (just compare the specifications and see) . The results are always very good and even better if we use white microplates (low, high or semi profile).”

“I used the qTOWER 2.2 Real-time PCR successfully to quantify specific bacterial species. The reason why I like this device is due to its intuitive qPCRsoft software. You can set up the template before and after the run. It is great feature because it saved me repeating an experiment once. I once made a mistake in setting up my template and was upset when I realized that. I thought that I have to repeat the experiment all over again. However, after playing around with the qPCRsoft, I figured out that I can in fact reprocess the data after the run. This functionality allowed me to successfully interpret my data without the need to repeat the whole experiment. It really saved me a lot of time which have been wasted. I highly recommend it.”
