After surface treatment, the protein binding capacity of this ELISA plate is greatly enhanced, reaching 300-400ng IgG/ cm^2 , and the main binding protein molecular weight is >10kD. Using this type of ELISA plate can improve sensitivity and relatively reduce the concentration and dosage of coated protein. The disadvantage is that it is more likely to produce non-specific reactions. After antigen or antibody coating, non-ionic detergents cannot effectively block the unbound protein sites, and protein needs to be used as a blocking agent.
