Genesee Scientific values the relationship with your institution and has taken proactive steps during this COVID-19 crisis to ensure that we are able to provide the same continued support and service to your lab.

Genesee has two operating warehouses, one warehouse operating in San Diego, California the second in Raleigh, North Carolina. Please be assured that both facilities are fully staffed with excess labor capacity. Additionally, both warehouses are fully stocked with virtually mirrored inventory, which is to say our product lines are not single sourced from one of two warehouses. If one of our two warehouses were to be temporarily closed for deep cleaning and to be sanitized it would not shut down Genesee’s ability to process orders and ship product to end users.

If your institution’s receiving department is closed, or you suspect it may close soon, please contact our Customer Service Department at 800.789.5550 or at support@geneseesci.com as soon as possible to coordinate holding the shipment until your receiving department has re-opened.

Genesee’s Customer Service also has representatives on both coasts. Our phone and computer systems operate between both facilities in real time. This duplicity in Genesee’s customer service gives us the ability and flexibility if necessary to receive, process, and manage orders regardless of where they are physically located. Furthermore, we have additional personnel working in other departments that have been cross-trained and have the ability to perform Customer Service responsibilities.

Genesee’s inventory and supply chain is strong, flexible, and responsive. The majority of our manufacturing and manufacturing partners are located in North America. This in itself helps safeguard Genesee and our valued customers from large fluctuations in inventory and service levels. Genesee also has active relationships with second source manufacturers. We have always taken pride in our high service levels, which has been afforded by carrying higher than industry average inventory levels. From a practical standpoint this puts us currently in a strong position.

Additionally, Genesee’s inventory management and purchasing has been reviewing inventory levels and demand while considering specific potential supply challenges. As a result of these reviews we have made several calculated strategic decisions resulting in updating purchase orders and placing additional purchase orders. Again, as a proactive measure, Product Management and Purchasing are and have been in constant communication with the higher at risk international manufacturers.
