This electronic pipette controller is lightweight and comes with a retractable stand that allows you to set the unit anywhere in the lab without fear of contamination. A single two hour charge can keep the pipette pump running for up to 8 hours of continuous use. The Poseidon™ Pipette Controller series come with a rechargeable lithium battery. It only takes 2 hours for the pipette to fully charge and will operate up to 8 hours.
We recommend using the 0.45µm membrane filter, Catalog # 33-901F.
It is recommended to change the filter out every 3 months. However, if the filter becomes wet or dirty, please change immediately.
There are three ways you can adjust the speed. The first is with the upside down triangle mode buttons on the back of the pipette - gravity and blow out. The second is the adjustable speed wheel. The last are the finger tip push buttons - the more pressure you apply the quicker you aspirate or dispense.
The LED indicates the battery life. If the light flashes green, the battery charge is sufficient. If the light flashes red, the battery has less than 2 hours of charge left.
The pipette tip does not fit tightly onto the pipette Controller. What might be the reason for this?
First check if the pipette is pushed far enough into the adapter. If the issue persists, the reason could be a worn out silicone nose. This can be easily be replaced with catalog # 33-901SN.
Only the nose cone and adapters are autoclavable at 121°C.
