The newly designed EZ-Scroll™ touch pad is used to quickly adjust settings with the swipe of a finger. Located in the middle of the EZ-Scroll™ is a color changing LED status indicator. The light changes based on whether the benchtop centrifuge is running (green), on standby (yellow) or sleeping (red). Despite its compact size, the Z287-A houses a powerful maintenance-free induction rotor that can reach up to a speed of 14,000rpm (16,058 x g). Like its other Hermle counterparts, this unit includes settings to adjust run times, rotation speed (rpm or rcf), acceleration and deceleration rates. Additionally, the unit comes with advance features such as rotor recognition, program storage (up to 99), quick spin-down function, sleep mode and an end of run alarm.
