qPCRBIO Probe Mix is a universal probe kit is compatible with all probe-based real-time PCR assays including TaqMan®, Scorpions® and molecular beacon probes. Our probe mix offers market-leading performance with minimal or no optimization in a variety of applications inclusing miltiplex or singleplex reactions, low copy number target genes, diagnostic qPCR, absolute quantification, gene expression analysis, and many more. qPCRBIO Probe Mix can be used to quantify any DNA template including genomic, cDNA and viral sequences. Extremely low copy number targets can be detected specifically with high efficiency. Proprietary small molecular inhibitor technology prevents formation of primer-dimers and non-specific products leading to improve reaction sensitivity and specificity. Many modern real-time PCR machines have a fast cycling mode. Yes, products can be sequenced or digested with restriction endonucleases using standard protocols. Products produced are 3'-d(A)-tailed and can be used for TA cloning. They also may be blunt-ended or digested with restriciton enzymes prior to cloning. We recommend purifying your PCR products using a PCR clean-up kit such as the Zymo DNA Clean & Concentrator kit that we offer.
Rox is a passive reference dye that does not take part in the PCR reaction. It is used to normalize non-PCR reated fluctuations in fluorescence. Please see the Instrument Compatability Guide to determine which Rox level is right for your qPCR machine.
Yes. The usual activation time of 2 minutes is not a long enough time to ensure release of the DNA from the bacteria or virus sample. The activation step can be increased to 15 minutes without affecting the reaction yield.
We recommend using 0.4 µM of each primer. There is a degree of flexibility around this recommended concentration however, the primer concentration should not be increased, as this may significantly affect the activity of the enzyme.
